The VX360 device must be plugged into the same Tesla that was originally configured.

  • You need to connect with the same account credentials on the new phone.

  • All standard prerequisites must be met on the new phone before starting a drive.

  • You won't be able to stay connected on multiple phones with the same account

  • Platform Compatibility:

The setup process to enable a new phone to use your VX360 with your app account depends on whether the other phone uses the same operating system as yours:

    • Same Platform (iOS ↔ iOS or Android ↔ Android): Simply log in with the same VX360 account on the second phone—no extra setup required!

    • Different Platform (iOS ↔ Android): You’ll need to reset the VX360 device and go through the onboarding process again on the new phone.

Note: Every time you switch platforms, you’ll need to repeat this reset process. We don’t recommend this method for frequent switching.

Collection of Dashcam and Sentry footage don't require your phone to be in the car with your device.
  • Place your phone on the Tesla charging pad or a phone mount. The app UI may take some time to update—just keep your phone stable during the drive, and the UI will refresh few minutes after you’re parked and display "Pending Footage".

  • While you’re driving or when your car is parked with Sentry Mode enabled, your VX360 should be collecting footage.

  • VX360 backup three types of footage:

    • Tesla Dashcam Footage: Recorded while you drive, capturing incidents or events based on your Tesla’s settings.

    • Tesla Sentry Mode Footage: Automatically recorded when your Tesla detects suspicious activity near your vehicle.

    • NATIX VX360 Clips: Automatically captures key moments from your drive, collecting valuable data to enhance maps and improve autonomous driving applications. Upload VX360 clips as soon as possible after driving to earn rewards!

Note: Dashcam and Sentry Mode footage are default recording modes from Tesla. NATIX Network never shares these recordings with third parties. Only VX360 Clips are used to improve map building and autonomous driving applications.

You will collect Tesla Dashcam Footage and Tesla Sentry Mode Footage regardless of your Connectivity Status. To collect NATIX VX360 clips and earn rewards ensure that:

Your VX360 device needs to be plugged to power, if your Tesla goes to sleep it might interrupt uploading unless enable Sentry or enable "Keep Accessory Power On"

Located on the Home Screen, the upload widget helps you checking your footage upload status:

To troubleshoot, it’s important to distinguish whether the device isn’t collecting footage or isn’t uploading footage.

    • If you keep seeing the “Start Collecting” widget after your drive, your VX360 isn’t collecting any footage — you need to go here to troubleshoot!

    • If you see the ‘Pending Upload’ widget on the home screen, your VX360 is collecting footage. However, if it stays in this status even when connected to Wi-Fi you’re in the right place to troubleshoot!

    VX360 App Installation

The VX360 app is essential for operating the VX360 device. It serves as your central command hub, communicating with your device while you drive, to access your footage, collect data, and reward you for your contributions!

Ensure you are within range of a stable Wi-Fi connection and power source when setting up your device, whether at home/office or in your car. The Wi-Fi network configured will be used to automatically upload footage from your device to the cloud later.

    1. Download and install the VX360 App:

    2. Register an account using Google, Apple, Discord, or Email/Phone

      1. Email/Phone verification: If you choose Email/Phone, a confirmation code will be sent to verify your account.

        1. Drive& app users must create a separate account: Drive& app and the VX360 App are two separate applications. You can reuse the same email but you'll have to create a new account.

    Reset Your Device

Resetting your device should only be used as a last resort to resolve issues or if you want to sell your device.

Important: you need to be nearby your device to reset it. Changes will be reflected after 1 hour.

To reset your device to factory settings: Go to Side Menu > Device Settings > Reset My Device

    Resetting your device will:

Unlink your VX360 from your car and VX360 account.

  • Remove saved Wi-Fi networks from your device.

  • Delete all VX360 clips and associated metadata stored locally on your device

  • Delete all footage pending upload: This will permanently stop the upload of footage currently pending. You won’t earn any rewards for this footage, but it will remain stored locally on your VX360 device.

  • After resetting, you’ll need to reconfigure your device to access the app again. If you don’t plan to set up a VX360 device again, make sure to withdraw your NATIX balance first.

  • Important Note:

    • Your VX360 account and all earned rewards will remain intact, but you’ll have to reconfigure a device to access your account. If you’re not planning to reconnect a VX360 device, be sure to withdraw your NATIX balance.

    • Any footage backed up to your cloud will be retained.

    • Locally stored footage on your device will be preserved: to delete this footage, you’ll need to manually connect your VX360 device to a computer and remove the files.
