Uploading footage doesn’t require your phone to be nearby.
The VX360 device will automatically start uploading whenever your car is parked and the device is within range of a saved Wi-Fi network.
The app UI may take some time to reflect the upload status—leave the device plugged in and check the app again after 1–2 hours.
The upload widget on the Home screen shows your footage upload status:
Default: No footage pending. Start driving to collect VX360 clips and earn rewards!
Pending: Footage stored on VX360 will upload automatically when connected to Wi-Fi.
Uploading: Footage is being uploaded; upload speed varies with internet connection and the amount of data.
Success: Upload complete—your footage is securely stored in the cloud.
If your parking spot is within range of your pre-configured Wi-Fi network:
Just leave your VX360 plugged into your car and leave it be!
Your footage will automatically upload to the cloud whenever your car is parked and in range of your pre-configured Wi-Fi Network.
Don’t forget to enable this setting in your Tesla: Controls > Charging > Keep Accessory Power On. (Only available with Spring update)
This ensures your device stays powered even when your Tesla goes to sleep.
Important: Your VX360 must be powered to upload footage. If you leave it in your car, ensure that either “Keep Accessory Power On” is enabled or Sentry Mode is active to keep the device powered.
Simply unplug your device from your Tesla and connect it at home or any location with a pre-configured Wi-Fi network.
VX360 will boot up and automatically begin uploading footage once it’s within range of a recognized Wi-Fi connection.
Note: Make sure to upload your footage within 24 hours of collection to earn a freshness bonus! Uploading after this period will significantly reduce your earnings.
