Plug your VX360 to your Tesla or at Home
To set up your VX360, plug it into your Tesla’s glovebox USB port, a USB charger at home, or directly into your computer and wait 30 seconds for the device to boot.
1. Tesla's Glovebox:
If you plugged your device into your Tesla’s glovebox USB port, a dashcam icon should appear on your screen with a grey or red dot. More information here.
If the dashcam icon doesn’t turn grey or red: unplug and reconnect the VX360. If the issue persists, try using a different cable.
If an alert appears on the top right of your Tesla dashboard asking you to unplug and replug the VX360 device ""Re-insert USB into glovebox for higher speed" ", you can safely ignore it.
Your VX360 device will continue to function normally even if this message appears.
2. At Home with a usb charger or into your computer:
3. Where to plug your VX360 device:
Depending on the task, your VX360 should be plugged into either your Tesla or a power source at home:
Collecting Footage: To collect footage, plug your VX360 into your Tesla while driving.
Configuring the Device: You can configure your VX360 by connecting it to your Tesla or to any 5V power source at home.
